I was offered the Latin position yesterday, and I accepted! I'm really happy to have this job; it's just what I wanted. Thank you again for all your help!
I don't intend to renew my search with Carney, Sandoe, since I'm hoping to continue to teach at this school for a long time. But no matter what I decide to do in the future, I'll always be grateful to CS&A for helping me find this crucial first job!
Best wishes,
-- David Berger, Providence, RI, August 16, 2010
Dear Todd,
Thank you so much for your help in my job search. Once again you and Carney Sandoe have been the key to my securing a new teaching position that fits with my background, training, and teaching experience. I really appreciate all you have done to assist me in my search.
Best wishes for a great year,
-- Tom Clauset, Winston-Salen, NC, August 4, 2010
Hi Maddie,
I've been meaning to write to you to say thank you for sending me such a wonderful referral! I was offered and have accepted a position teaching ESL for Pre-K/K children at that charter school in Washington DC. I can't believe how great everything turned out. The job market here in NYC was so depressing and would've been a huge undertaking to apply and get interviews through the Board of Ed. I think it is going to be a really good fit for me. Thank you again so much!
Regards,
-- Gina Verga, New York, NY, July 23, 2010
Hi Maddie,
I'm delighted to report that I was offered and have accepted one of the first positions to which you referred me, the High School Latin and English position. My initial interview was at CS&A's Boston conference. Thank you so much for all of your help with my search process. You connected me to just enough openings that I felt I could get to know each position at each school, but I never felt completely overwhelmed. The guidance that you and CS&A provided prepared me well for the various steps of the application procedure. Other prospective Latin teachers are in good hands!
Best,
-- Elisabeth Gillette, Wellesley, MA, July 21, 2010
Dear Beth,
I wanted to inform you that I have accepted an Early Childhood position! As you know, it's been quite a challenge for me (as with many other people), to find a job, so I am very grateful.
I just wanted to THANK-YOU for always being such a long standing support for me. I know in life it often is "timing" and a lot of luck.
All the best to you.
-- Christina Hartevelt, Madera, CA, June 29, 2010
Dear Lauren and Todd,
I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. I just wanted to let you know that I got the job! I am really excited about it. They called me up right before the NYC Forum and I went to interview the following Wednesday.
As far as feedback on the Forum -- I thought it was very well organized, good location, and lots of helpfulness from the staff. And overall I think the service that Carney Sandoe offers is EXCELLENT! I will not hesitate to work with you again in the future, and I have been telling all the unemployed teachers I know to sign up with you guys.
Thank you so much for all your help!
-- Maria Noy, New Haven, CT, May 26, 2010
Dear Ben,
I wanted to let you know I was offered and have accepted the Associate Director of Admission position! I am very excited to join their team and truly appreciate your help with everything. Searching for the right position is not an easy task, and I am very grateful to Carney Sandoe for working so diligently on behalf of candidates and schools to find the best match. I will certainly call on CS&A throughout my independent school career, which you have been instrumental in launching. Thank you again for all your help, and all the best.
-- Orli Bander, Brooklyn, NY May 17, 2010
Hello Emily!

Hi Rice,
I just wanted to say "thank you" to you and your team for the wonderful job you did for me. I will be headed to an excellent school in Miami next year, and I appreciate your assistance with the job search process. I had so many different schools from all parts of the country interested in me, thanks to you, and I was able to get my first choice. If I ever have to do this again, I would be very fortunate to work with your company. However, I hope I'll be staying put for a long time! Thank you!
-- Math Teacher, April 16 Miami, Florida

-- Brittany Wopperer, March 30, 2010, Alexandria, VA
Dear Jenny,
I can't thank you enough for all of your help throughout this process, responding to all my questions and concerns and being such a great advocate. If I do end up wanting to secure another great job down the road, I'll very much look forward to working with you again. Thanks so much!
-- David Beckman, March 23, 2010, Princeton, NJ

-- Nina Allbert, March 16, 2010, Crescent City, FL
Dear Beth,
Great News. I received job offers from three schools, and I accepted one of them on Sunday, 3/7/10. I want to personally thank you and Katie for all of your support and guidance. I truly felt that you worked extremely hard to guide me throughout my search to find a teaching position (2nd grade) in an independent school. I feel very lucky to have you as my placement associate. I can tell that your passion and wisdom for communicating with candidates are valuable assets to your company. Thank you so much!
-- Markanthony Edwards, March 10, 2010, Phoenix, AZ
Dear Emily,
Thanks to you, I have about 25 follow up emails to schools to write because of all the connections you helped me make at the conference! I wanted to let you know how thankful I am that I have partnered with you to get my job search going. It is exciting to know how much has happened just since I joined early last month!
I thank you all for all of the work you have done, how smoothly everything ran at the conference, and how helpful Courtney and everyone there was. I am looking forward to more possibilities!
-- Anne Marie, March 2, 2010, Monterey, CA
Dear Rice,
I just wanted to thank you for your help jump-starting my search for a teaching job. Your organizational skills were excellent, but your effort to make every relationship a personal one was what I appreciated most. In my opinion, there is no better springboard into the search process than CS&A.
-- Caleb Balderston, February 5, 2010, Ardmore, PA
Dear Maddie,
You are amazing! Thank you so much for being my CS&A placement associate and for connecting me with my new school. I would never have known about this opportunity had it not been for you.
I just had my interview with them this week in New York and signed my contract with them yesterday. I am delighted to have this dream job of doing what I love -- teaching Chinese and art around the world with an innovative team!
I am truly grateful to you for forwarding me all these excellent openings and for following up with me over the phone. I cannot thank you enough, as I would not be in this position without you.
I have highly recommended CS&A to many of my classmates and friends. Many thanks to you and your team for the wonderful, professional, and invaluable service you are providing to teachers and educators -- I wish you continued success in "making the match" for the new year!
-- Sherry Zhang, JAnuary 13, 2010, Princeton, NJ

-- Jason Bock, January 6, 2010, Burlingame, CA
CS&A just helped me receive my first teaching job! Working with CS&A representative Todd Gochman was a great experience. He was easy to contact, spoke to me about my interests and made relevant referrals. The entire process was convenient and personal. Thanks to Todd and CS&A!
-- Amanda Ingrassia, July 20, 2009, Katonah, NY
Hi Jenny,
I just signed a contract to teach Upper School history and English at a wonderful school in New Jersey. As I'm sure you know, this job is one of the many prospects you sent my way; consequently, I wanted to take some time to express my sincere thanks for everything that you did on my behalf.
From taking the time to meet with me in April to indefatigably sending job notices my way, you were always in my corner, and I appreciate that support tremendously. Job searches are fraught and stressful in the best of circumstances, and even more so in a recession economy. Nonetheless, you were always a cheerful presence over email and in person, and you definitely helped me keep faith.
I'm thrilled about the job -- I felt that wonderful "click" with all the faculty and administrators I met that tells me it's the right school for me, and I'm happy to be able to teach in two humanities departments. Thanks again for all your enormous help in finding me a great job.
-- John Deal, Astoria, NY
Hi Todd,
I got your letter in the mail, and I wanted to thank you again for all your hard work. I found that many of the schools you picked for me were excellent matches, and I would definitely work with CSA again in the future. In fact, I have referred a colleague of mine, who is currently looking for a position with your agency.
-- Annabella Kraut, Burtonsville, MD
Hi Jenny,
I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done this year for me. I appreciate your diligence and your good spirit in helping me secure a position for this upcoming school year. You have been a huge help.
-- Teddy R. Reeves, Ojai, CA
Hey Beth,
Sorry for the late reply but I have been busy preparing for my NEW JOB!! I want to thank you and the staff of Carney, Sandoe & Associates. You have been as much support in guiding me in the proper direction as any family member or close friend. With your guidance I felt a sense of community and that I was not alone in these dire times. I am forever in debt to the wonderful and caring staff at Carney, Sandoe & Associates.
-- Kevin Wright, Bronx, NY
Hi Rice,
Thanks for the check-in. As of this afternoon actually, I have accepted a job offer at Gilford High School, which is a public school in NH. Although I did not technically receive a position through CSA, the service was incredibly helpful and connected me to a diverse amount of opportunities. I was able to interview, visit, and learn of many great schools of which I could compare and contrast in order to find the best job for ME.
-- Natalee Miller, Boston, MA
Hi Jenny,
Thank you for your email, and more importantly, thank you for representing me this past year again. I am so happy to report that I have accepted the offer and will be teaching 10th and 11th grade English starting in the fall. Yeah! It's been a year of transition, and I am really looking forward to getting back into the swing of things as a teacher and as part of a school community.
You have been so positive, helpful, and thoughtful throughout this process. While I hope to not have to search for a job anytime in the near future, I will miss working with you! Thank you so much for all that you do.
-- Emily Lugo, Annapolis, MD
Hi Erik,
I just wanted to inform you that I signed a contract to stay with my current school for next year and would like to close my account. Professionally and financially it is the right move for me at this time. I want to thank you for all your work and referrals throughout this past year. It is your service and hard work that make Carney Sandoe the best and I will certainly contact you the next time I am seeking a job. Again, thanks!
-- Will Harvard, Elverson, PA
Hey Jenny!
Yes... the news is great! How amazing that you found out so quickly. You beat me to it, because I wanted to write to you and tell you how deeply I appreciate EVERYTHING you have done to help me throughout this process. I have a hunch that it was that "little note" from you that the English chair mentioned that may have gotten me in the door. The day I spent there was wonderful-- it is a fabulous community... challenging and exciting, but also humane and kind. I'm so excited to be joining them, and the part-time position really is ideal at this stage. I so appreciate your asking me to articulate why my thoughts were moving in that direction. Thanks for all of your good wishes, and thank you again for everything. I'm truly grateful that you are so good at what you do! I hope our paths will cross again at some point in the future.
-- Suzanne Bailey, Brookline, MA
Dear Jenny:
You're right -- I couldn't be happier about the way it's all panned out. I feel excited to transform into a Middle School teacher, and to see the challenges and joys that that'll entail. And being in New York City certainly doesn't darken the prospect either!
Thanks, too, for all of your help these last few months. Knowing that you and Carney Sandoe were on my side made the search simpler to endure -- especially as the nightly news implied that I was a madman for leaving my school.
Know that I'll be recommending CS&A, and you, to any and all worthies who find themselves in the market. If ever I find myself moving on (extremely unlikely, but still), I'll certainly reach out to you.
In the meantime, I wish you the best -- and thanks again!
-- Wil Lobko, Las Vegas, NV Emily,
I am going to be teaching 4 sections of Spanish and assuming roles as a dorm parent, coach, advisor, and other responsibilities. I am so happy I'm ending up at a school I genuinely love. I can't wait to move out there this summer. The entire process has been really long, tiring, arduous, etc, but I definitely couldn't have done it without yours and Carney Sandoe's help. I appreciate all of the hard work you have done for me and the other candidates searching for jobs. You've helped make a dream come true. Thanks again for everything! I will be back again when the time comes to move on with my teaching career!
-- Ross Perrot, Tuscon, AZ
Dear John:
I cannot thank you enough for all that you have done for me over the past few years in my job search. I have not always been the easiest candidate and would not have blamed you in the least for telling me to take a hike. Thank you, thank you, thank you. My wife and daughter and I will be moving closer to Boston this summer, and I hope to see you when I get there. -- Carson Smith, Portsmouth, NH
Dear John:
Thank you for seeing the potential for a match with my new school. I’m excited to be headed to southern California! I appreciate all the calls you made on my behalf and for the pep talk. You were a huge help.
-- Wendy Bradley, Madaba-Manja, Jordan
Dear Jenny:
I would like you to know that I will use Carney and Sandoe's services in the future for any international search. You and your colleagues were very friendly and helpful, unlike some other agencies we have used in the past. I have told several of my friends who will be searching next year to sign up for your services, and I hope that a successful partnership might be forged between you and them.
-- Jesse Meyer, Grand Rapids, MI
Dear Chris:
My family is incredibly grateful to your and the whole team at Carney, Sandoe and Associates. You presented jobs that fit our criteria, answered questions on positions, future growth, and helped my family feel relaxed throughout the interview process. Your professionalism, availability, and knowledge of independent schools helped us realize the opportunity and potential at our new school. I am thankful to have built a relationship with CS&A that will continue as I advance my career in independent schools.
-- Eric McGrane, Charlottesville, VA
Dear Ben and John:
I just wanted to send you a quick note and thank all of you for helping me out with my search this past year. You were all extremely upbeat, positive, and professional throughout the search and I appreciate you patience in helping me find the “right” fit. Although my search ended up being long and tedious, I am extremely happy (and very busy!) at my new school, and I could not have asked for a better position and school to work for. Thanks again, hopefully our paths will cross again in the future.
-- Carson Roy, New York, NY
Hi Katie:
Thanks for the update. I appreciate all the time and patience you and Beth have spent on me. CS&A has been a wonderful experience and I think very highly or your organization and the effort you put forth with your candidates. You both have been very kind and understanding; CS&A is fortunate to have people working there who are as dedicated and caring as the two of you. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
-- Dave Haight, New Market, MD
Dear Seth:
I accepted the position last Friday. Thanks for your help in this – I never would have found the place without your help (even though it’s only an hour away). Thanks for your advice and support as well. This job search has been a bit grueling, but it’s over. Mission accomplished. A month ago I was trying to figure out how to piece together part-time jobs so that I could earn a teaching credential. Today, I’ve got a foot in the door for a life-long career as a teacher. Equally importantly, I’ve got a decent salary and good benefits to provide for my family. Thanks so much.
-- Josh Danforth, Winona Lake, IN
Dear Devereaux McClatchey:
I just want to tell you how much I have appreciated the assistance of Ben Bolte and John Faubert over the past few months.
I have worked with both gentlemen in the past on previous searches and also as one who was doing the hiring for a school. This time I was trying to secure employment for myself. (I was able to do so.)
Ben and John are just first-rate. They have been supportive, responsive, utterly reliable, completely professional, and just plain old pleasant throughout the entire search. Through the ups and downs of looking for a job, it is so important to have such consummate professionals with whom to work.
They are a credit to your organization. I can't thank them, and Carney, enough for the assistance I have received.
-- Terry Ward, Holyoke, MA
hi Jenny,
I am so excited to inform you that I have accepted the offer. Almost immediately, I knew that this was a wonderful fit for me. I have no doubt that this is a perfect match, and that I will make a positive difference both in and outside of the classroom.
Thank you so much for all of your help! I can't tell you how happy and excited I am about next year, and you have played such an important role in making this a reality. Truly, I am ecstatic about moving to Florida and teaching at this amazing school.
I wish you only the best.
-- David Cutler, Newton, MA
Dear CSA,
I wanted to extend my thanks to your wonderful service in helping me obtain my private school teaching position. As a teacher, fresh out of college, I was very nervous and unsure how to begin the process of searching for a job. But one of the first things I did was sign up with CSA and within a very short time I had a job contract in my hands, without having to worry about paper work or making numerous phone calls. Your service was excellent with asking me the right questions with what I was looking for in a teaching position and offered my information to some wonderful schools! Any time I had questions about using the service or contacting a school, one of your advisers would email me back right away--- I truly appreciated that type of commitment to your candidates!
I am now going to be teaching in my dream school and I know I wouldn't have been able to get such a position without the service of CSA! I am spreading the news about how your service helps teachers find a great private school to teach in. Thank you once again for providing such a great resource to educators and for assisting me in my own job hunt!
-- Tatiana Kurjaninow, Howell, NJ
Hi Jenny,
After an absolutely crazy month, I have accepted the sabbatical history position. I am very happy with this decision, as I had a terrific day visiting the community and enjoyed the conversations I had with the faculty and students there. So as of this fall I will be teaching 10th and 12th grade, coaching soccer, basketball and lacrosse, serving as a dorm parent and an advisor, and participating as a leader on their OutBack wilderness program. It is a beautiful part of the country, and a beautiful school, so I consider myself very lucky.
I want to thank you most sincerely for all of the help you have provided to me throughout this whole process. You did a most impressive job of referring me to wonderful schools, and I was fortunate enough to have choices in the end. I received many compliments on my file, and gave you due credit. I am very grateful! I anticipate working with you again in the future, and look forward to it, because I now know why CS&A is so reputable.
Have an excellent summer, and again, thank you kindly.
-- Susanna Whitaker-Rahilly, Concord, MA
Dear Sadie,
As I mentioned during our telephone conversation, I have decided to accept the position of International Student Coordinator & Director of Diversity. I will also teach ESL, History and Cultural Studies, and also be the Head Soccer Coach. Thank you for the invaluable help; I do not have the words to express my deepest, sincerest and most heartfelt gratitude. The professionalism and dedication that you and CS&A have displayed is well worth emulating. Coupled with the simplicity and ease of your whole process, it is little wonder then that you are the American leaders in school placement. Again, many thanks!
-- Arnold Kanyang'onda, Canaan, NH
Dear Mr. McClatchey,
I just wanted to let you know that I had a great experience working with CS&A. My placement contact was Seth Gabarro. He was extremely helpful and made the whole process very painless. I just wanted to give some feedback because I'm now sitting in a wonderful spot with a dream job. I feel really lucky!
-- Irene Jenkins
Hi Kanoe,
I accepted the offer!! I will be teaching 5th grade. I am thrilled, and owe many, many thanks to you and Maddie for all of the help you gave me through this process. I could not have been happier with the service that Carney Sandoe provided. I really owe this great match to you. Plus, I have felt so lucky to be working with people as wonderful as you and Maddie. Thank you for everything.

Dear John,
I am compelled to write in gratitude for your dedication and expertise in facilitating my search for administrative positions. I so appreciate that you took the time and energy to really get to know me and the value I could bring to a school. Thank you, too, for your prolific communication; you answered what must have been mundane questions to you with alacrity and a generous spirit. The proof of your talent is in the outcome: I am looking forward to beginning my new appointment with tremendous joy at the prospect of really manifesting my potential. Thank you, John, for everything. I now know to whom I will refer others who seek similar successes!
-- Dani Shylit, Haverhill, MA
Dear Beth -
I have received an offer to teach at Rice University as one of their Wiess Instructors of Physics and Astronomy, and I've chosen to accept that offer. In a few years, I'll be job searching again, and I will likely seek out Carney Sandoe at that time, as the experience working with you and your firm has been an overwhelmingly positive one. Although my current situation led me to other opportunities, I know that Carney Sandoe makes many opportunities available that are very much in line with my professional interests.
-- Tim Gilheart, Hanover, NH
Dear Jenny Moyer,
I just wanted to say thank you very much for your help. In addition to you tolerating my worrisome emails, you kept me at ease by suggesting there was still plenty of time. Last week proved to be very fruitful...I ended up with offers at all four schools. Whether it was coincidence or whatever, it's funny that the very first referral you sent me this year ended up being the job I will be taking. I will be teaching middle school, running the middle school football team and helping with the varsity QB's for a very talented program.
-- J.K. Scott, New Hampton School
Rice,
I am very grateful for your work, persistence, and thinking outside the box in getting me this opportunity. I think this is a significant turning point in my career, and for that you have my gratitude.
-- JD Whitney, Kensington, MD
Chris,
I am HAPPY to report that I am employed for next year. I signed a contract late last Thursday with St. Martin's Episcopal in New Orleans. Dr. Jeff Beedy is the Head and I think he will be GREAT to work for. I cannot begin to thank you enough for the excellent help you have been to me. I was very impressed by the sincere personal attention you gave to me and to my search. I think you have helped me find a very good home and while I hope of course that I would not have need of your services again, I certainly would ask for you, should the need arise. Thanks so very much again!!
-- David Hooks, Lancaster, PA
Hi Ben,
Your company has been a wonderful organization with which to be affiliated and I have never felt you were more than an email or phone call away. I have appreciated your keeping me informed and involved -- always with my interests in mind. Thank you for seeing this come to a positive conclusion and I am looking forward to new experiences at my new school.
-- Chris Writer, Buffalo, NY
Hi Beth,
Thank you for all the referrals you have sent me for music positions in the DC area. I'm happy to let you know that I just accepted the position at a great school! It seems to be a wonderful place and I'm very excited about the opportunity. Thank you so much for your help - this is the second time that CS&A has helped me to find an excellent school. While I think your service is wonderful, I am hoping that I will stay here for a while and won't need to contact you all for some time!
-- Erin Farfaglia, Middleburg, VA
Molly,
I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for meeting with me yesterday. I really appreciated your willingness to sit and learn more about me and my search for employment at a K-12 school. I feel privileged to have someone with such knowledge, energy, and passion about schools assisting me. It was a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to working with you and Burke through this process.
-- Rick Goulding, Brighton, MA
Beth,
I just wanted to thank you again for all the work that you and your colleagues have done. While I know Health Ed positions are scarce, you and your team have been incredibly resourceful in helping me learn where the opportunities are and where schools may be taking their programs. I cannot tell you what a great resource you provide. It is so appreciated.
-- Robyn Kaminer, New York, NY
Jenny,
I think I contacted you way back in November about my search, but it feels like it was just yesterday. Thank you for all of your help these past few months! The search process is nerve-wracking, but knowing you were in my corner made me feel so much more confident both in myself and in the process.
I'm really thrilled with the school. Location, students, classes, benefits --I don't think I could have asked for a better mix to suit me at this point in my career and life.
-- Thank you again! Jeffrey Vinikoor, Princeton, NJ
Hi Burke,
Last year you helped me to find a job teaching and coaching in Bethesda, MD. I recently (and happily) renewed my contract for next year and thought I would write you a brief note to thank you again. This school has proven to be a very good fit for me. I enjoy my classes, appreciate and respect my colleagues, and feel I'm helping the boys along in the classroom and out of it. All in all, it's been easy to work hard and find some success here, and I wanted you to know how much I appreciate the time you invested last year to help me get to this point.
-- Ted Ogden, Landon, Virginia
Hi Molly and Burke,
Great job with NYC 2008! You guys and the entire Carney Sandoe team did a great job organizing a zoo of logistics and personalities. I am incredibly impressed with how well the group handled everything. Also, I am very happy with how the job search process is going. Thanks again for making such a big difference for education and having such great spirit.
-- Sincerely, Edward Miller, McLean, VA
Dear CS&A -
From a candidate's perspective, I wanted to tell you and your staff that the new LINK Conference online interface is truly incredible. Thank you! Having gone to Carney Sandoe conferences in past years and having struggled with figuring out how to contact people, this new module makes everything so much easier. I love that we can see all the attending schools and representatives and that we can email them personally with interview requests.
I'm sure that many others have already told you about the wonders of the new online tool, but please spread the good word to those who created it on your staff.
-- Chris Wilcox, Philadelphia, PA
John,
Your attention to detail in the search process in total was excellent, and the specific individual attention paid to my requests and inquiries was remarkable and greatly appreciated. The position I secured is in great part due to your thorough and professional diligence throughout this process and I feel I was represented to schools in a most beneficial manner. I would, and will, recommend Carney Sandoe to all of my colleagues, both teachers and administrators, for their future placement requirements.
All the best and again thank you for your attention, diligence and professionalism.
--Chris Brena, Wichita, Kansas
Dear Mr. Carney,
I would like to take a moment of your time to thank your firm for doing such a wonderful job in helping teachers like myself find employment in Independent Schools. I am a 17-year teacher who needed to find a job closer to home. I registered with Carney Sandoe and was immediately contacted by Jenny Moyer; a highly knowledgeable and professional associate. She took the time to understand my needs and sent me countless referrals. As of the beginning of May, I had not found employment and was worried, but Jenny continued searching. Needless to say, Jenny placed me three weeks ago, and I am very grateful for the time and effort she put forth on my behalf. Several of my colleagues are currently looking for teaching jobs, and I have highly recommended Carney Sandoe to all of them. Again, thank you for the help and support your firm offers. It can be very difficult for teachers to look for jobs while employed, but Carney Sandoe makes it seem effortless!
--Caroline Stuart, Greenwich, CT
Beth,
I was highly impressed by the great work of everyone at CS&A this past weekend at the conference. Well done! Everyone was extremely helpful and pleasant all day in an environment that was slightly chaotic. Thank you for all your help as the day went on. I really enjoyed my time there and took a lot away from the experience. I am very excited for the San Francisco event. Thanks again.
--Doug Armstrong, Boston, MA
Dear Jessica,
In the middle of January, my American colleague asked me about CS&A (I'd spoken with him about my registration and search with CS&A and told him that I'd found the perfect position with your help). He said one of his Chinese friends would like to look for opportunities for teaching Chinese in America, so he hoped I could offer some help. I told him CS&A was the perfect solution. I gave him the website of CS&A, and he has already given the information to his Chinese friend. I would be glad to recommend CS&A to any other friends and colleagues. Your professional work ethic and efficient communication are extremely impressive! Surely I will contact you again when I face another job search; please allow me to say thank you in advance for your help!

--John Cady, Dallas, TX
Ben,
I want to thank you for your professionalism, advice, kindness and guidance along the way. Making a transition from Turkey to the US is a huge life shift for me and you have made a huge difference in my life. When I contacted you a few years ago, you helped me then just as you helped me now. Thank you very much.
--Joan Liu, Istanbul
Hi Ryan,
As far as placement in the independent school world goes, CS&A rocks! I wouldn't trust any other agency to do what you guys do. Thanks much.
--John Barnes, Statesboro, GA
Jenny,
Throughout all the post graduation conversations graduates are forced to endure (“so, what are you going to do with your life?”), I have been extremely happy to cite Carney, Sandoe and Associates as an amazing firm that I have been lucky enough to be involved with. So, my thanks come not only from myself, but also from my reassured relatives and extended family who know that I am on the right track.
--Phil Recchio, Livonia, NY
Tyler and Ryan,
You guys did a great job of matching me with fantastic schools. When asked about my experience with Carney Sandoe, I couldn’t help but boast about the seamlessness and professionalism of your organization. If I should come across someone in need of your services, I will definitely recommend CS&A.
--Bobby Young, Lafayette, CA
Hi Jenny,
I want to thank you for all of your help. It was sort of a long and excruciating process but I couldn't be happier with the result. I really appreciate your support and, ultimately, the “golden referral!” I will definitely be sure to send friends and colleagues your way.
--Nate Payovich, St. Joseph, MI
Devereaux,
I recently used your service for the first time, and I am writing to inform you of how pleased I am with Carney Sandoe. Your forum in San Francisco was amazing. I received many interview requests, which led to job offers from two of the best schools in Los Angeles. I wanted to let you know how great your service is and to especially praise the work of Todd Gochman. He could not have been more helpful and you are fortunate to have him working for you. I have already advised many of my coworkers of your program and I will continue to do this in the future.
--Ben Cady, Santa Monica, CA
Dear Devereaux,
I have been a Carney Sandoe candidate for about nine months, and I recently accepted a graduate position at a great school. Todd Gochman was the associate assigned to work with me, and he has been amazing. He not only sent regular updates of schools that matched my profile, but he would also follow up with emails and an occasional phone call inquiring if the information he sent had been useful. He has been professional, courteous, and thorough. I felt as though he was a very informed and supportive guide intent on helping me find the best school to match my interests and talents.
--Katie Camarata, Nashville, TN
Dear Rice,
I want to thank you for all your help in the process. I was incredibly satisfied with the referrals and your replies, advice, etc. I continue to brag about Carney Sandoe to everyone - it is such an excellent process to finding the right placement. Thank you for everything and good luck with the rest of your conferences.
-- Courtney Collins, Brooklyn, NY
Hi Jessica,
Just got your follow-up note in the mail yesterday … thanks a ton for all your work. I can’t tell you how great it was to have you, not only as a rep, but more importantly, as a real person who cared/cares about our search. Seriously, thanks for your empathy/coaching/and shoulder to cry on when I was at heartbreak hill in early March. I can’t tell you how happy all of us are with our move to Tampa.
--Mick Barons, Tampa, Fl
Dear Jenny,
Thank you again for making this move possible for me with the new position. I could not have done it without your help and support! If I hear of anyone here who is looking to move, I will certainly pass your information along...you were so wonderful to work with, I have nothing but the best things to say!
-- Bryna Belitzky, Denver, CO
Rice,
You have been a great help to me from this process' beginning, particularly with your honesty and encouragement. It has been a huge asset to have you (and all the resources of CS&A) at my side.
-- Jared Courtney, Waltham, MA
Dear Devereaux,
I have been working with Todd Gochman and CS&A since December. Todd was there for me at every step. Simply put, he was a true professional at all stages of the process and for that I am truly thankful. I am quite sure that the prospect of my new position and the expediency with which the process transpired would not be possible without Todd's hard work. Again, my thanks to Todd and the entire CS&A team for making our experience so quick and easy. As I continue my career as an educator I plan to recommend CS&A without reservation.
-- Dan Hare, Concord, NH
Dear CS&A,
I have just recently returned from the National Association of Independent School Conference, and spent a day with Carney Sandoe interviewing for various positions. I wanted to write you and tell you what wonderful staff members you have in Jenny Moyer and John Faubert. I walked into the conference with much trepidation, as I am looking to shift the focus of my vocational career (from ‘preacher’ to ‘teacher’) and recognized that I was not the typical candidate attending this job fair. As you might imagine, both Jenny and John were extremely busy dealing with candidates, answering questions, and directing traffic! They treated me with great care and empathy, allowing me to feel as if they understood my own individual concerns. At one point in the late afternoon, as my energy ebbed, Jenny dropped what she was doing, came over to me, and was a great support both in her words and manner. In 6 hours at the NAIS LINK, I had 6 interviews and also spent a good deal of time with Trina Secor (another Carney representative) whom John suggested I meet with. It was incredibly efficient, although initially daunting.
I went to Boston with a great deal of anxiety and concern, but the professional and personal care I received from both Ms. Moyer and Mr. Faubert was exceptional. I thought you would like to know what superb staff members you have.
-- Johan Johnson, New York, NY
Dear Rice,
I wanted to let you know that I am going to accept the offer. Thanks for everything over the past few months. You were a tremendous help in every way possible. I was very impressed with Carney Sandoe's organization and the ability to make the candidates feel important. If and when I decide to look for another job in the teaching field, I will use CS&A again.
-- Jessica Lawton, Weare, NH
Dear Ben,
Your firm and your personal attention provided the platform for this opportunity to unfold and I'm extremely grateful. Your services helped me sustain my confidence during this period of transition. Thanks to you and Carney Sandoe for being such tremendous resources. I will continue to recommend you and your firm in every way possible.
-- Geoffrey B. Hoyt, Canaan, NH
When I began my hunt for a new job in the fall, I signed on with several search firms. Carney Sandoe was by far the most effective. Jessica took the time to get to know me and was very accurate in sending my information to schools that would be a good match. She always called me back in a timely manner when I had questions - no matter how small. Also, I was impressed with how well she seemed to know the schools and what they were like. As an end result, I just accepted a fabulous job at my first choice school in Washington DC. I am thrilled! And it never would have happened without Jessica and Carney Sandoe. Thank you!
-- Kristin Eisenhardt, Washington, DC

Dear Maddie,I was offered the Latin position yesterday, and I accepted!

Dear Todd,
Thank you so much for your help in my job search. Once again you and Carney Sandoe have been the key to my securing a new teaching position that fits with my background, training, and teaching experience. I really appreciate all you have done to assist me in my search.
Best wishes for a great year,

Hi Maddie,
I've been meaning to write to you to say thank you for sending me such a wonderful referral!
-- Maria Noy, New Haven, CT, May 26, 2010
Dear Ben,

Hi Rice,
I just wanted to say "thank you" to you and your team for the wonderful job you did for me.

Dear Beth,

Hi Jenny,
I just signed a contract to teach Upper School history and English at a wonderful school in New Jersey.
Dear John,
I am compelled to write in gratitude for your dedication and expertise in facilitating my search for administrative positions.
--Nan Gao, Tianjin, China
Hi Todd and Elizabeth,
I really love the new CandidateConnect system. What a great enhancement for candidates who use your services. I am excited for the process to begin and hope to meet you in Boston.
--Sarah Swain, Keene, NH
Dear Ben,
I wanted to thank you for your help during the hiring process this past spring and summer. I have been in my new position for about a month now and it is a really good fit. CSA has been a big help to me over the last few years and I have always felt that I am dealing with the best professionals in placement when registered with your agency.
